Commerce & Standing
"Every sponsor keeps a ledger in this town — all nine are open to you, and all nine are watching your standing. Visitors do better when they remember that." — the Visitor's Map Board, third beat
Floor 1 and Floor 2 gave you exactly one place to spend and almost nothing to spend on. The Bazaar drops that restraint entirely. There are thirteen counters here, and the money is the same money it has always been: chits, carried in your pack. Nothing on this floor is priced in Mana.
Standing — the nine ledgers
Every sponsor in the Stable keeps a standing ladder, and every one of them can be earned on this floor. Each ladder has the same five rungs — 0, 10, 30, 60, 100 — and the labels are written in each sponsor's own voice.
| Sponsor | 0 | 10 | 30 | 60 | 100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Faraday & Sons | Off the Ledger | On the Ledger | Recognized | Trusted Account | House Patron |
| Pop-Up Personnel | No Application on File | Onboarded | Placed | Preferred Placement | Permanent Placement |
| Pinnacle Beverages | Unranked | On the Radar | Contender | Podium Face | Summit |
| NeuroSync | No Baseline Recorded | Baseline Established | Verified Client | Priority Case Study | Flagship Result |
| Merritt Robotics | Not Yet Family | Welcomed In | Regular Fixture | Trusted Hands | Part of the Family |
| Omni-Corp | Unrecognized | Recognized Customer | Frequent Customer | Preferred Account | Whatever-You-Need Tier |
| Apex Salvage Group | Unreclaimed | Registered Reclaimer | Certified Salvager | Reclamation Partner | Nothing Wasted |
| GruntCo | Not Counted | Counted | Regular | Trusted Hauler | GruntCo's Own |
| Janitech | Unfiled | Filed | Bristled | Bristle Approved | Bristled for Life |
Pop-Up's top rung reads Permanent Placement. Their own file note explains it: the stairs are just past the booth; the file notes you never take them.
Two things about standing that cost people money. It is per-sponsor — being House Patron with Faraday buys you nothing at the GruntCo kiosk. And it resets when you die, along with everything else. Standing is a thing you build inside one lifetime.
If your dossier declares a sponsor lean, everything you earn with that sponsor is multiplied by 1.5, rounded up.
How each ledger is earned here
| Sponsor | Earn it by |
|---|---|
| Faraday & Sons | The town's offer chains — Albright's commission (+15), the Captain's chain (+20), Felicia and Dr. Synthesis (+12 each), Phil and Whiskerton (+10 each), the fountain (+5) |
| Pop-Up Personnel | Karen's placements (+14) and her gig board afterwards. Backing the Captain against the office costs you −15 |
| Pinnacle | Stepping into the duel ring — +3 for a win, +1 for a loss |
| NeuroSync | Buying the premium stim at the wellness tent (+1 a purchase) |
| Merritt | Building, buying or upgrading a station at home (+2 each), and the repair patch on the Commons tea cart (+1) |
| Omni-Corp | Buying the gated row on the Market Row vending machine (+1) |
| Apex | Selling salvage at the Reclaim Desk — +1 a sale, up to 5 per visit |
| GruntCo | Buying the cordage at the dock kiosk (+1) |
| Janitech | Carried down from Floor 1. Nothing on this floor adds to it — the notions stall just finally lets you spend it |
Recovering a sponsor-branded care package is worth +3 with whoever branded it.
Albright's shelf
Seven pieces, seven prices, three rungs. Nobody else in the run sells this.
| Piece | Needs | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Flenser's Hook | Faraday 10 | 20 chits |
| Restraint Prod | Faraday 10 | 22 |
| Dock Vulcanizer | Faraday 10 | 24 |
| Scavver-Hide Casque | Faraday 10 | 24 |
| Focus-Group Clicker | Faraday 30 | 30 |
| Compliance Driver | Faraday 30 | 34 |
| Pen-Line Cuirass | Faraday 60 | 42 |
Everything else on his counter is ordinary and ungated — salves at 4, stims at 5, a Flicker Cell at 6, wire at 2. Work three of the town's chains and you clear 30 and the middle of the shelf opens. Work all of them and you are most of the way to House Patron.
The rest of the counters
Market Row. The Produce Cart (snack 2, Janitech heal tonic 8, filtered stim 9), the Kit Cart (cloth scrap 2, grip wrap 3, stim 6), the Fix-It Bin (scrap 3, metal rod 3, electronic components 4), the Pinnacle Kiosk (stim 6, loot stim 10, thermal coating 6, and grip wrap at 5 once you're On the Radar), the Curio Stall (a Janitech lifer's plaque at 8, and a Scrubbed Show Cel at 9 for anyone On the Ledger), and the Omni-Corp machine (snack 2, stim 6, loot stim 10, respirator 8, and a healing salve at 6 that both needs and builds Omni standing).
Guild Row. The Reagent Table (chem reagent 4, plant fiber 3, and Redleaf Concentrate at 8 with Faraday 10) and the Notions Stall (spring 2, snare 2, reed cordage 3, and the Janitech-Stamped Toolkit at 9 — the first thing your Floor 1 standing has ever bought you).
The Commons. The Refreshment Cart (Flicker Cell 6, stim 6, heal tonic 8, and a Merritt repair patch at 6 that pays you standing back).
The Loading Docks. The GruntCo Kiosk (spring 2, snare 2, cordage 3) and the Apex Reclaim Desk — lockpicks at 4, dense scrap at 9, a pipe fitting at 2 for Registered Reclaimers, and a standing offer to buy anything you are carrying, no forms, no questions about where it's been.
Below. Coordinator Pruitt keeps a real shop in the conscription pens. Salvage-grade staples, then dense scrap at 10, a loot stim at 14 and Riot Plate at 20 once Pop-Up has you Onboarded or Placed. Doing business with him is a genuine option, and it is also the floor telling you something.
Most counters cap you at one or two of a line per visit, and they all buy as well as sell.
